MINDFULNESS RETREAT FOR NON-YOGIS

This retreat weekend is lovingly dedicated to the many who have wondered
whether a visit to The Higher Haven would behoove those with an interest
in Meditation but not Yoga. Come, embrace silence and the true, more
traditional meaning of asana or yoga poses – “a mastery of sitting still” –
during this overnight of Meditation Training, Ceremony, and the building of
our Spiritual Community. Reboot, re-energize, and reconnect with yourself
and the natural world during this two-day gathering, a super September
celebration of life and spiritual practice.

Saturday, September 22 schedule

• Noon Arrival and Welcome
• Local Organic Vegan Lunch 12-1:00 pm
• Relax, explore the woods, river & retreat grounds 1:00-3:00pm
• Meditation class on the 4 abilities developed by a regular Meditation practice – Concentration, Relaxation, Insights into the Nature of Life and Unconditional Love 3:00 – 6:00pm
• Inipi (Sweatlodge) Ceremony 6:00pm – 8:00 pm
• Wopila Celebration and Feast 8-9:00pm
• Deep Rest and Relaxation 9:00pm

Sunday, September 23 schedule

• Apply our newly acquired skills in 2 half-hour sits 8:00 – 9:00am
• Breakfast 9-10am
• Wind down and Close 10-10:30am
• Option for continued exploration of retreat grounds or Lake Mishigama beaches and surrounding area
