The poet Reiner Maria Rilke said that Winter illuminates the richness of life and the tenacity of the human spirit. “What does living come down to”, he offered, “but bringing about those changes in ourselves… which can free us to enjoy a richness and closeness with everyone?” During this serene season getaway, we’ll abide in Noble Silence for an extended weekend period, engaging in sitting and walking meditation and gentle Yin yoga while enjoying light, healthy meals, warming fires and nature’s stillness. A zendo or meditation hall will be open for ongoing practice and guidance available for all levels of practitioners. This retreat is a fit for anyone who needs to fire their heart, shake off the winter blues and lay hold of the benefits of mindfulness – insight, empowerment and elevated self-esteem. Beginning meditators as well as the most advanced practitioners welcome.
